Funding Available for Diesel Retrofits and Replacements

Approximately $350,000 in Voucher Incentive Program (VIP) funding is currently available in San Diego County. VIP provides funding opportunities for small fleets (10 or fewer vehicles) to quickly replace or retrofit their older on-road heavy-duty diesel vehicles.

Truck replacement grants range from $10,000 to $45,000
Exhaust retrofit grants range from $5,000 to $10,000

ACT NOW!!! Eligible applications will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted. Information San Diego County Air Pollution Control District’s website at http://www.sdapcd.org/homepage/grants/grants.html

Truck owners can get application assistance from one of the participating dealerships or retrofit installers. A list of local participating dealerships and retrofit installers is available here: .http://www.sdapcd.org/homepage/grants/VIP/Dealers.pdf
